BIOTAY S.A.was founded in 1985, and started its activity producing and selling Veterinary products from companies it represented.
We actually represent companies like Idexx Corp., Diamond V Mills Inc., and DPI from U.S.A.: Minitübe from Germany; Norel S.A. from Spain ; Neolait from France and Odor and Socorex from Switzerland.
Our main activity consists in marketing Veterinary products, feed aditives, equipment and instruments for Artificial InseminationI and Embryo Transfer; Instruments and kits for diagnosis purpuses.
Within the Veterinary market, Biotay has a known reputation in the poultry , swine and cattle markets.
In Poultry, Biotay participates actively in segments such as anticoccidials, natural product to grant “intestinal health” and has its own product line under the SOYKER trademark that covers a complete spectrum of products for mycotoxin and salmonella prevention in feeds, as well as antioxidants.
In the cattle market it commercializes antibiotics (Taiker, Ocramicin, Taisina, Tilcofeno), antibloat agents (Bloker) and other inyectable metabolic modifiers through a vast distribution chain.
Biotay has a special area which is specifically in charge of the reproduction market (embryo transfer / artificial insemination for Cattle Swine and Horses) . Since 1992 a feed additive line for ruminants was included ; growth promoters (Rumigan,), yeast culture (Diamond V xpc )and flavours (Top suit) together with anti-bloat products (Blolker Ultra, Bloker 25 plus and Bloker premix). This activity generated a new distribution chain consisting of Feed Manufacturers, Distributors, Veterinarians and direct customers.
We have a highly trained professional sales department; the objective being to obtain a more clear and precise understanding of our clients needs and expectations throughout the country. We call on 400 Vets and 80 local Feed Manufacturers and Reproduction Specialist located in the top cattle areas.
We have a very close relationship with the nutritionists working with all species.
As a result of this understanding of the cattle market we have attained great experience in controlling bloat, a very common disease in cattle grazing legume pastures.
We have also developed a special product line to prevent and treat mineral deficiencies like selenium, magnesium, copper and cow hipocalcemia (Levac).
In 1998 a business unit was created for swine products, making special emphasis on the Minitübe reproduction product line. Mini Tübe line helped us also to build up a solid reproduction line for cattle and horses.

In 1999 we built a new wear house and production facility located at 30 km north from Buenos Aires. With 500 sq mts for offices and 2000 sq mts for production and warehousing this new premises allows us to provide a better service to our customers. All areas have been adapted to comply with GMP regulations established by SENASA.
This has recently been expanded with the construction of a new distribution center with 900 sq mts of warehousing and 200 sq mts of offices and lab area.
Through Bitay Uruguay S.A. we sell our products in that country since1998.
In the last years we have extended our commertial activity in other Latin American countries establishing Biotay Paraguay SRL and appointing distributors in Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panamá and Perú.
BIOTAY'sdistinctive characteristics as a medium-sized company are the training of its personnel, in a high percentage professional, and its management with local and international experience in several multinational companies.
One of the objectives of the Company at this time is to complement its product line in order to maximize the efficiency of its marketing team and market non licensed products in Mercosur through agreements with other companies.
